WASHINGTON COUNTY, UT HOME & LOT SALES REMAIN ABOUT THE SAME FOR APRIL AS FOR MARCH

Forget_the_driving_-_search_fo

214 Homes were sold in April in the St George/Washington, UT area.....only 2 less than in March.  The median prices fell somewhat for both the home and lot sales.
Interesting to note that the short sales and bank owned are the lowest in years.  These stats are posted nearly every day on http://www.StGeorgeHomeScene.com

If you are looking for a new home, check out Stucki Farms in Washington, UT

Yesterday, I drove to Stucki Farms to check on a new build for one of my clients.  It was a beautiful -blue sky -white clouds - day.  The first photo shows the green of Washington Fields contrasted with the Mountains of Pine Valley.  The next is of the new build by Brent Anderson of Building Concepts.   Then leaving the area I was struck with the beauty of Pine Valley Mountain again.

Stucki Farms is a new development - a 592 acre master planned community - on the southeast side of Washington City.  There will be 7 separate villages on 316 acres.   There will be 155 space with 25 acres of lakes and  with a seven acre planned rec center.  The first community is being built now at The Meadows.

The St George Art Festival 2012 - was perhaps the best ever.

Yes, this year's ART FESTIVAL was perhaps the best yet!   It was held in the City Square Park in downtown St George.  Beautiful - amazing art, pottery, jewelry, sculptures, and more.  Perhaps my favorite this year were the Stone Art pieces by David Cornwell of Park City, UT.

Picture one of these pieces inlaid in your shower.....entry wall.....or most anywhere.
See http://www.cornwellstoneart.com for more photos and information.

Went to see a new home being built by S&S Homes at the Highlands this afternoon.....The views from there are amazing.

Home being built at the Highlands by S & S Builders.

The views driving down the hill were amazing today.   A little windy, but clear & colorful.  There are not a lot of lots left at The Highlands so if you are interested in building there, check them out soon.  Email me for a list of available lots.   annette@annettetaylor.com

ST GEORGE, UT AREA REAL ESTATE MARKET LOOKING UP!!

Even though there were not as many homes sold as in February, the prices went up and
I believe this is a good sign.  More lots were sold, but the price went down.  Building is up and I think that reflects builders are buying these lots.  Short Sales and Bank Owned homes are both down.

The number of new home permits is the highest it has been for the past 5 years.  Our builders are able to build new homes at a lower cost than older homes.   The average seems to be about $105 to $120 per square foot.

Spring is here...our golf courses are green (Sunbrook photo taken a few days ago)
trees are blossoming and optimism is in the air.
