These petroglyphs are from the Anasazi Indians who lived in this area starting in 200 B.C.
We took one of our local hikes the other day and took photos of these petroglyphs. There are hundreds of rock drawings hidden in the bluffs around Ivins, UT. The Anasazi native tribe inhabited this area in southern
Utah from 200 BC onwards, but left very little evidence of the reason for their departure around 1250 AD.However, they did leave thousands of rock drawings (petroglyphs) that have survived to this day. These are
located just a few miles from downtown St George in Ivins.
